Siblings and Elder Care: Ways of Sharing Responsibilities
This workshop addresses the changes in family dynamics that often occur when a parent needs care and explores the challenges that arise with sharing decision-making and responsibilities. Common issues and conflicts are discussed, with suggestions for reducing controversy and stress. Problem solving about how the primary caregiver can successfully ask for help from even the most reluctant sibling or one who lives at a distance is discussed.
